Tips to Host a Brunch Party

First of all, I want to wish a Happy New Year, full of happy moments!

Brunch is one of the things we don’t have in Brazil (at least it’s not common to find it) and I fell in love when I moved to the US. Breakfast is my favorite daily meal and, as I wake up later on the weekends, I love the idea that I don’t need to skip it and go directly to lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

My birthday is approaching and I was thinking about having a brunch party to celebrate it and I found out this could be a really easy to execute party and very yummy at the same time.

Here are some tips I think will help you to set up an amazing brunch party.

My suggestion is to make a casual buffet, one for food and other for drinks. I’m listing some options below.

Menu

– A colorful food tray will bring some freshness and also add a visual interest to the table;

– Egg dishes that you can prepare in advance, such as quiches and frittatas are good options as they won’t require last-minute preparation;

– A bagel bar like this in the photo is one of my favorite ideas;

– A waffle bar will make your guests very happy as well.

And, as we always remember, make sure to ask your guests if they have any food restrictions/allergies.

Drinks

I love the idea of offering brunch favorites here, such as mimosas and bloody Mary. Check out this post where I shared some brunch cocktails ideas. Also, make sure to have non-alcoholic options such as juices, coffee and teas.

You can also add a theme to your party and elevate the fun level of your celebration.

I’m still deciding what I will have for my birthday party this year, but I get excited about the idea of planning a brunch with my friends very soon. What about you? Let me know if you’re a fan of brunches by leaving a comment.
