As Fall is around the corner, what about saying goodbye to Summer with a themed party of the seasonal favorite dessert? Personally, ice cream is one of my favorite desserts no matter the time of the year, but I need to agree it becomes even more delicious on a warm and sunny day.
In this post I’ll share some (really cute) ideas for throwing your own ice cream party and invite the people you like the most to spend a really good time with them. ‘Cause, as I always emphasize here, life is all about the memories we build.
So, let’s get started!
Party Invitations
There are so many cool invitation formats you can use for your ice cream themed party, both online or, if you prefer, the paper version.
The first thing you need to do is to define the color palette of your ice cream themed party. And the best way to do it is by picking your favorite ice cream flavor and using its colors.
Here are some ideas:
Neapolitan: pink, white, brown
Cookies ‘n cream: white and brown
Mint chocolate: Mint green and brown
Strawberry: red and green
After that you just need to go online and search for invitation template options. And, as we’re always here to help you out, take a look at these ideas I found (go to the store link by clicking in the image):
Decoration
I truly believe that just a few decoration items bring out the theme vibes to your party. If you are like me and love flowers, you can make arrangements using an ice cream cone and place them inside a tall glass and use it as a table centerpiece.
If you wanna register your party with fun shots, this Ice Cream Photo Booth is a good and affordable idea.
If you like to have a more decorated party, you can find great kits at Amazon, like these ones (go to the links by clicking in the images).
Ice Cream Bar
And finally there is the best thing about this party: the Ice Cream bar!
Below are some tips on how set up this in a smooth way:
- Pre-scoop ice cream and freeze on a cookie sheet, so that your guests can serve themselves choosing an individual bowl, waffle bowl or cones;
- Keep chocolate and any other warm sauce you like warm in a small crockpot;
- Have a tray filled with ice to display the pre-scooped ice cream.
Toppings
- Chocolate chips cookie;
- Coconut;
- Cherries;
- Marshmallow;
- Nuts;
- Gummy bears;
- Strawberry;
- Caramel syrup;
- Chocolate chips;
- M&Ms
To infinity and beyond..
Utensils
Don’t forget to have pretty bowls, spoons and napkins.
Another idea is to hire an ice cream catering service for your party. Some options around the Seattle area are: Ben & Jerry’s, Seattle Ice Cream catering, Cold Stone.
I just realized I myself have never thrown an Ice Cream party and now that I just finished this post I’m so excited about organizing one and inviting my friends to have a lot of fun while enjoying one of my favorite desserts. And what about you? Are you also an ice cream fan? Let me know your favorite flavor in the comments.
