St. Patrick’s Day party ideas

March is here and, it’s almost time to get ready and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! I know there are many options to celebrate this day outside and it’s always possible to go to a good Irish pub, but in this post I’m sharing some ideas for you to get inspired and throw your own St. Patrick’s Day party at home.

Send Themed Invitation

Even though it’s easier to settle for a group text I can assure your guests will feel much more special if you send them a personalized St. Patrick’s Day invitation. I also think this helps get people excited to RSVP as soon as they receive it!

Decor

You already know we think that “less is more” when talking about the decor. My suggestion is to have some gold plant pots like this one and fill them with some chocolate coins to use as centerpieces.

For guests that are all about social-media, I love the idea of setting up a photo booth. It’s possible to use a green sheet backdrop adorned with some themed balloons. Also, if you have an instant camera, you can leave that around so your guests can take their pics home too.

Food & Drinks

The good thing about this day is that there are so many traditional dishes and drinks you can plan on doing.

Take a look at the ideas below (with the link to the recipes):

Foods

Irish stew pie

Slow-cooked Corned beef

Colcannon Potatoes

Drinks

Green beer

Apple martini

Desserts

Rainbow cake

St. Patrick’s Day popcorn

Party favors

I love party favors and, as we’re talking about St. Patrick’s Day, they can also see a symbol of sending your guests good luck. This candy bag will give your guests a yummy memory about your party during the next few days.

I hope this post inspired you to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year with your friends and family. Cheers!
