If you have younger kids, you might be wondering how to celebrate Easter and make it fun for them without getting them full of chocolate. Sure, chocolate is delicious, but in our family, we decided to postpone the sugar overload as much as possible. Our daughter is 3.5 now so she does eat sugar. But we try not to make it a habit nor the star of parties and celebrations for her.
So, with that in mind, I wanted to share some ideas of how to celebrate this very chocolate-centric day with your kids without making it all about chocolate. Check it out!
EGGS
There are SO MANY fun activities to do with eggs, be them real or plastic. You’ll find a variety of cheap fake eggs at any Dollar store or get a huge pack at Amazon like this one.
Sensory bins
Kids love getting their kids dirty and touching things. That’s a fact. You can do a sensory bin with water and bubbles or colored rice. Just throw some eggs in there and give them some tools to dig them up. To make it even more fun, put little toys inside each egg.
