5 Bakeries in Washington state that are worth a try

There are many types of parties where bakeries can be your ally. For a brunch, and even a classic birthday party, it’s possible to find most of the yummy foods you need at a good bakery.

Personally I love going to a bakery no matter if it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I always spend quality time when I’m there. I currently live in Seattle/WA and I love to explore other cities in Washington state and today I will share five bakeries you should try if you are visiting around. They might also be a good supplier for your next get-together.

1. Bakery Nouveau, Seattle, WA

Bakery Nouveau has 3 different locations in Seattle (West Seattle, Capitol Hill and Burien) so, there is no excuse not to go there if you live in or are visiting Seattle. One of the things I love the most about them is that they have amazing products both for the lovers of savory and sweet.

This is a good place to order some bread or pizza squares for your next party or small gathering with your friends or family.  For dessert you can go with chocolate cake or, my favorite, the twice-baked almond croissant.

2. Blackbird Bakery, Bainbridge Island, WA

Every time we travel I make sure to research good bakeries to try. And after we visited the Blackbird Bakery I felt like I made the right choice!

One thing I loved about them was the high variety of vegetarian options (my husband is vegetarian and sometimes it is tough to find a place that pleases both of us). You can count on their pastries for your next brunch party and I strongly recommend that you also spend some time there enjoying the cozy atmosphere.

3. The Gingerbread Factory, Leavenworth, WA

This is one of the cutest bakeries I’ve ever visited. There’s no need to say they have amazing and yummy gingerbreads, which are a good option for a kid’s birthday (it’s also possible to hand them as a party favor). Besides the gingerbreads you will also find baked goods and sweets.

4. Coyle’s Bakeshop, Seattle, WA

If you are an Instagrammer, this place will make your day. Most of their pastries are traditionally French and you will find many options there to impress your guests. My recommendations would be the mini cardamom kouign amann and also the cream scone.

5. Bake San Juan, San Juan Island, WA

If you are planning to go whale watching or a weekend getaway, add this bakery to your itinerary. There, I found one of the best sourdough bread I’ve tried since I’ve moved to the US. They also have sourdough pizza slices that are worth a try. Their cake menu has lots of options that makes it hard to choose one!

If you are planning an intimate wedding or a small dinner, they also have a beautiful event place.

I hope this post has introduced new places for you to go when visiting one of those cities or a new provider option for you when planning your next party. Let me know if you already visited one of the bakeries I mentioned and what your favorite bakery is.
